They're two separate things. "No markup on Stripe" means we never inflate Stripe's own rate — Stripe charges your connected account directly at their standard pricing (2.9% + $0.30 for cards, or 2.2% + $0.30 if you qualify for Stripe's charitable rate), and that goes straight to Stripe, not us. The Studio fee is our platform fee, shown separately and clearly: 2.5% per card on Free, 0.5% per card on Paid (ACH is 0.5% on Free, 0.1% on Paid). That's the only fee Studio charges, and it's how we keep the free tier genuinely free instead of locking payments behind a subscription. So on any transaction you pay Stripe's rate plus the Studio fee — never Stripe's rate marked up, and never a hidden cut on top.
Our emails are transactional: confirmations, receipts, and notifications. Studio is built to run your org, not to be a newsletter tool.
Yes, as long as Studio processes your giving and ticketing through Stripe. There is no monthly cost, you pay only the per-transaction fee. If you use a different payment provider, you move to a Paid plan.
